Micron and Samsung: RAM shortage to continue through 2028
Micron and Samsung executives said this week that memory supply will fail to meet demand for at least the next couple of years. Micron CEO Sanjay Mehrotra expects demand for the company's high-bandwidth memory (HBM) for AI and server DRAM to exceed available supply. Manufacturing capacity prioritizing AI and servers is also limiting memory supply for consumer devices.
