What can Hy4 do?
Tencent announced its new large language model Hy4. According to the company, the model is the first to combine visual understanding with the ability to use a computer. That means it can interpret on-screen content and act through interfaces.
Access and open weights
Hy4 is currently available via API. Tencent plans to release the model's open weights in the coming days. Open weights mean the model's parameters can be downloaded and run on users' own servers.
Why it matters
Computer-use capability lets AI agents operate applications directly. Tencent bringing this capability to a mainstream model could accelerate the spread of agent-based workflows.
