OpenAI launches Grid Protectors to ease AI's strain on power grids
OpenAI announced Grid Protectors, a national programme under which its future data centres will cut electricity use when power grids are under strain. The planned Georgia campus is the pilot, with up to 1,000MW of flexible demand; no other sites have been named.
