New York Times sues Brave over AI scraping and paywall bypassing
The New York Times and other publishers including New York Daily News, Chicago Tribune and Orlando Sentinel have sued Brave, alleging the browser maker unlawfully scraped content to train AI and let users bypass paywalls. The complaint claims Brave monetizes its scraped index by giving AI companies paid access to real-time online content.
