Tesla unveils AI accelerator roadmap: SI6 promises 80x performance
Tesla updated its AI accelerator roadmap and rebranded its chips under the "SI" (Super Intelligence) name. The company expects its sixth-generation inference accelerator, SI6, to deliver 80x the compute performance of the current SI4. Its Dojo D3 training chip is moving away from an SRAM-centric architecture to a multi-chiplet design with stacked HBM.
