What happened
SpaceX released its third-quarter 2026 financial results. Revenue came in at $14.6 billion, up 161% compared with the same period last year.
The company ties the growth to two areas: its AI business, which it calls the "Super Intelligence" (SI) segment, and its Connectivity business.
How the segments performed
- SI segment: $7.6 billion in revenue, up 830% year over year. SpaceX attributes this mainly to new cloud services agreements coming online, the Cursor acquisition, and increased Grok adoption across enterprises.
- Connectivity segment: $2.4 billion in operating income.
- Space segment: $7 million operating loss.
- SI segment operating income: $431 million.
Why it matters
It is notable that the AI side of SpaceX is now this decisive in the income statement alongside its space and satellite internet businesses. The first concrete financial impact of the Cursor acquisition is also visible in these figures.
