Gemini gets personal in the car
Google is bringing the Personal Intelligence feature of its Gemini AI assistant to the in-car experience. Instead of giving only generic answers, the assistant will be able to use data from the user's Google ecosystem to produce more personalized responses while driving.
Which services are involved?
According to the company, the assistant will draw on information from Gmail, Calendar, Maps, YouTube and other Google services. That means a driver could, for example, ask about an upcoming meeting or route details directly from the car.
Timing
The announcement was made on October 20, 2026. Google did not share a detailed timeline for how the feature will roll out in vehicles.
