What is Muse?
Meta has launched Muse, its personal AI agent, in Singapore following its global announcement. Muse is positioned as an agent that handles everyday tasks on the user's behalf, from managing email and coordinating schedules to drawing on saved content.
Which apps does it connect to?
Muse can connect to apps people already use, including Gmail, Google Calendar and Instagram. Early local connector partners in Singapore include Shopee, Grab, Singapore Airlines, Agoda, ShopBack, Klook, Trip.com and Lazada. Through these links, Muse can research products and compare prices, plan groceries and dining via GrabMart and Grab Dine Out, and explore travel and reservation options. Some connector features will roll out progressively after launch.
How is security handled?
Meta says Muse runs on Muse Secure VM, a dedicated cloud computer that stores data and credentials for connected services while keeping passwords and payment methods out of the agent's view. Users choose what Muse can access, and it checks with them before sensitive actions such as sending an email or making a purchase.
Where can it be used?
Muse is available in Singapore on iOS, Android and muse.ai, with a launch on AI glasses coming soon. According to Meta, it is free for most of what people need, with subscription plans for those who want to do more.
