Partnership expands
AMD and Meta are taking their years-long technical collaboration a step further. According to the announcement, Meta is the lead customer for AMD's 6th Gen EPYC processors (Venice) and will deploy millions of these chips.
More than CPUs
The collaboration goes beyond processors. Meta will use next-gen Instinct MI500 accelerators and AMD's Helios rack-scale solutions. These systems will power current AI models such as the Muse AI Agent.
Software support too
AMD will provide day-0 support for Meta's Muse Spark Open and Muse Glimmer models. Such support is critical for new models to run smoothly on the hardware.
Why it matters
EPYC is AMD's server CPU family, while Instinct is its GPU line built for AI training and inference. Rack-scale solutions treat an entire rack as a single system rather than individual servers. A major buyer like Meta moving to this lineup strengthens AMD's position in the data center market.
