The next step for Siri: agent behavior
Apple shipped its long-awaited personalized Siri with iOS 27. But Siri still lags in proactively taking actions for users, a capability many AI companies are actively pursuing.
According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple aims to close that gap next year. The goal is for Siri to behave less like a command-driven assistant and more like an "agent" that plans and carries out certain tasks on its own.
A new engineering pipeline in testing
The report says Apple is also experimenting with a new engineering pipeline that could speed up development, potentially meaning shorter update cycles for AI features.
