Anthropic adds election safeguards to Claude ahead of 2026 US midterms
Anthropic has expanded its election safeguards in Claude ahead of the 2026 US midterms. In an analysis of 250,000 conversations, the company found that political chats made up about 5.75% of US Claude conversations, while election and voting chats accounted for 0.51%. Later this month, Claude will begin providing state-specific official voting information.
