Apple has announced its new iMac powered by the M6 chip. The all-in-one desktop features an M6 processor scaling up to 12 cores, a dual Neural Engine architecture, Wi-Fi 7 support and on-device AI capabilities, while keeping its slim design and seven color options.
Apple has brought its M6 system-on-chip to the base 14-inch MacBook Pro and the iMac lineup. The MacBook Pro gets 12 CPU and 12 GPU cores, while the iMac also offers a lower 10-core option. Pre-orders open Wednesday, with shipping on Nov. 6.
