Finland orders Google to halt work at two AI data center sites
Finland's Licensing and Supervision Agency (LVV) ordered Google's project subsidiary Tuike Finland Oy on Oct. 6 to stop preparatory work at two data center sites in Muhos and Otanmäki by Oct. 23. The order remains in force until environmental impact assessments are completed; about 740 acres of forest were reportedly cleared at the Muhos site alone.
