Criminal probe launched into Google's AI data center deforestation in Finland
Finnish police have opened a criminal investigation into Google's subsidiary Tuike Finland Oy over suspected environmental law breaches at its Muhos data center project. The probe follows five complaints and covers unauthorized forest clearing and drainage issues; Google had previously apologized for clearing 816 acres of forest without approval.
