DeepMind agents find up to 1,600x speedup against legacy RSA encryption
Google DeepMind researchers used AI agents to discover cryptographic techniques exposing weaknesses in legacy RSA-1024 encryption, with some scenarios showing roughly 1,600x speedup over the previous best method. The company says modern encryption standards are not affected.
