Mission completed in exercise

STM Defense Technologies Engineering and Trade Inc.'s NETA 300 Lightweight Unmanned Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (HOSA) successfully carried out its underwater mine detection mission during the Turkish Naval Forces Command's TURNAs-2026 Unmanned Naval Systems Exercise.

The exercise took place in the Gulf of Antalya and the Eastern Mediterranean between October 19 and 27, 2026.

What it did

NETA 300 autonomously detected mines and mine-like objects along its transit route. This demonstrates the vehicle's ability to operate underwater without human intervention.

What is NETA 300?

HOSA is a lightweight underwater vehicle that operates unmanned and autonomously. It is used in missions such as mine detection; such vehicles aim to reduce the risk to human dive teams in maritime security.
