Record revenue and profit

Samsung Electronics posted KRW 195.3 trillion in consolidated revenue for the third quarter of 2026, up 14% quarter on quarter and a new all-time high. Operating profit reached KRW 107.4 trillion, making Samsung the first tech company to exceed KRW 100 trillion in quarterly operating profit.

Memory leads the way

The Device Solutions (DS) division reported KRW 147.1 trillion in revenue and KRW 106.5 trillion in operating profit. The Memory Business had a record quarter by focusing its product mix on AI products. Strong server demand pushed prices higher across applications, HBM4 sales scaled up significantly and demand for server SSDs grew.

Devices division in the red

The Device eXperience (DX) division grew revenue 8% quarter on quarter but recorded an operating loss of KRW 0.8 trillion.

Outlook for 2027

Samsung expects AI infrastructure investment to continue in the fourth quarter, with memory demand driven by new CPU and GPU platforms and QLC SSD demand tied to personal AI agent services. The company expects AI infrastructure capital expenditure to reach a historic level in 2027 and demand to outstrip supply. The Foundry Business continued to win orders from 2nm HPC customers, including major hyperscalers, and targets double-digit revenue growth in the fourth quarter on new mobile products and the mass production ramp-up of 4nm NPUs.
