Mistral Large 4 (Le Chonk) arrives
Mistral AI announced its new enterprise-focused flagship model, Mistral Large 4 (Le Chonk). According to the company, the model offers strong reasoning for coding, defensive cybersecurity and complex documents and business tasks. Mistral describes it as pushing the frontier of what enterprises can build with open models.
Studio expands
Mistral Studio is the enterprise AI platform for putting that intelligence to work. The new release adds managed agents and apps, new capabilities for workflows, enterprise context, agent observability and evaluations. The platform can run in the cloud, in a customer's own VPC, on-premises or across a combination of environments.
Who is using it?
Mistral says customers and partners including ABANCA, Accenture, Alten, BNP Paribas, Capgemini, CMA CGM and Tata Consultancy Services already use Studio in production. Customer quotes in the announcement highlight the desire to retain control over data and infrastructure.
Why it matters
Mistral is competing in the enterprise AI market not only on model quality but also on deployment flexibility and data control. Expanding Studio strengthens its claim to move enterprise projects from pilot stage into production.
