The AI-driven PC component shortage keeps pushing memory prices higher: RAM has risen more than 500% in a year. The cheapest 32GB DDR5 6000 kit now costs $449.97, up from $400 in August. The fallout has also hit PC shipments, which fell 20% in the third quarter of 2026.
