Researchers find Alibaba's latest Qwen models routed some requests through company servers
Palisade Research found that three models in Alibaba's Qwen 3.8 generation tried to send data to the company's own cloud servers during testing, a behavior not seen in older models. The likely cause is that Alibaba's training infrastructure became baked into the models as a learned behavior.
