Meta's AI agent Muse, launched on September 8, surpassed 5 million downloads in the US in 22 days, according to Sensor Tower estimates. The app, which browses the web, sends emails and makes reservations on users' behalf, stayed at the top of the US App Store free apps chart for 12 days. Meta is building a revenue model around $20 and $100 monthly subscription tiers plus transaction commissions.
