What happened

Traversal, a New York startup whose AI agents find out why company software breaks, has raised $120 million in a Series B round. The company announced the deal on 4 November 2026, valuing it at $1 billion.

Who invested

Kleiner Perkins, Redpoint Ventures and Khosla Ventures co-led the round. Sequoia Capital, Battery Ventures and Amex Ventures also participated.

Why it matters

As AI-assisted code generation speeds up, tracing the bugs it introduces gets harder. Traversal's agents target exactly that problem, which caught investors' attention. The startup will use the funds to develop its product further.
