DGX Spark 64GB is coming
NVIDIA announced that its DGX Spark device for local AI development will be available with 64GB of unified memory this month. The device will be offered through top manufacturer partners, including Acer.
Why it matters
As AI agents move from experiments into everyday development, increasingly capable open models are shrinking to fit on more devices. That is driving more developers to run models locally on their own hardware rather than in the cloud.
What unified memory provides
Unified memory means the processor and graphics unit share the same memory pool. This makes it easier to run larger models on a single device. The 64GB version aims to give developers more room to test and scale larger models locally.
