An animated avatar on video calls
Meta announced that its AI agent Muse can now hold video chats with users in the US. During calls, the agent appears as an animated avatar that users can customize.
The move is part of Meta's push to take Muse beyond a text-based assistant and toward more personal interaction. The company had previously added a voice-call mode to the agent.
Preparing for a wearable
Meta is preparing to launch a Tamagotchi-like wearable meant to bring Muse into the physical world. The video-chat feature went live ahead of that device's debut.
Meta did not share details on exactly which devices support the feature or its full availability. The announcement covers US users.
