Enzyme design moves to AI
Google DeepMind has released its new AI model AlphaProtein Novo as open source. The model can design enzymes that do not exist in nature from scratch.
What does it do?
Enzymes are proteins that speed up chemical reactions. AlphaProtein Novo designs enzymes tailored to a user-defined task, aiming to drive desired reactions in chemical production processes.
