Three model families on one platform
Google Cloud has added OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra, GPT-6.1 Sol and GPT-6 Luna models to its platform. The models are currently in private preview for enterprise customers, meaning access is limited to selected organizations rather than the general public.
Why it matters
With this move, Google Cloud becomes the first major cloud provider to offer its own Gemini models alongside Anthropic's Claude and OpenAI's GPT models under one roof. Enterprise customers can now make model choices through a single cloud provider.
What private preview means
A private preview is a limited test phase before general availability, restricted to invited customers. Pricing and a general availability date have not been announced.
