A record quarter
ASML generated $13.06 billion in revenue in the third quarter of 2026, up 55% year-over-year and 25% sequentially. Gross margin hit a record 57.5%, and net income reached $5.56 billion. About $570 million of that came from the revaluation of the company's investment in Mistral AI.
What it sold
ASML sold 121 lithography systems in the quarter: 113 new and eight refurbished. It booked $4.59 billion from 17 EUV systems and $4.82 billion from 85 DUV and 19 i-line tools. Logic chipmakers accounted for 54% of equipment revenue, memory makers 46%. Taiwan took 32% of equipment sales, South Korea 31%, China 23% and the US 13%.
Demand stretches to 2030
CEO Christophe Fouquet said customers expect demand for their products to outpace supply through at least 2028, prompting them to accelerate fab construction and capacity expansion. ASML is already taking orders for 2028 delivery, and some customers want to secure slots as far out as 2030.
Outlook
For the fourth quarter, ASML expects revenue of $15.9-17.0 billion and a gross margin of about 57%. Full-year revenue should reach $49.3-50.4 billion, with EUV revenue up more than 45% and memory-related equipment sales up roughly 75%.
