$150 million for the Genesis Mission

Anthropic announced it will commit $150 million over three years to the Genesis Mission, a US federal initiative aimed at accelerating scientific and technological discovery through AI. The company frames the move as an extension of its support for American scientific discovery.

Independent evaluation with Accenture

Anthropic is partnering with Accenture on independent evaluation of frontier AI models. Both companies expect to invest at least $1 billion over the next five years to build capacity in this area. The step is part of Anthropic's broader commitment to embed evaluators within its own organization.

A chain of enterprise partnerships

The announcements go further: Cognizant embedded Claude across its platforms, trained more than 30,000 associates and became a Global Premier Partner in the Claude Partner Network. UST will train 20,000 engineers on Claude and deploy it across semiconductor, automotive, IoT, healthcare, telecom and banking workflows.

Public sector and regulated industries

The Government of Alberta has been using Claude Code with Opus and Sonnet models since 2025 to review its systems, find vulnerabilities and fix them. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will provide Claude to 50,000 of its own employees across 56 countries and build Claude-powered products for financial services, healthcare and the public sector.

Why it matters

The announcements show Anthropic's strategy of embedding Claude beyond model development into consulting, public-sector security and scientific research. The planned billion-dollar evaluation capacity with Accenture speaks directly to the debate over independent oversight of frontier AI models.

Why it matters

Anthropic's public-sector and consulting partnerships show how Claude is being positioned in the enterprise market and where AI evaluation is heading.
