US orders civilian federal agencies to remove DeepSeek from their systems
The US Department of Homeland Security has ordered civilian federal agencies to remove DeepSeek products from their IT systems and stop buying them under a 2018 supply chain security law. The order also covers third-party tools built on DeepSeek models, citing the risk that sensitive data could be shared with the Chinese government.
