Anthropic's leaked bill would make it harder for Washington to shut down frontier models
A confidential draft bill prepared by Anthropic for the US Congress would tie federal intervention against advanced AI models to specific catastrophic threats and require judicial approval for suspensions. The draft, obtained by POLITICO, sets the intervention threshold at over $1 billion in damages or the deaths or serious injuries of more than 50 people.
