Chinese hackers impersonated an Anthropic employee to extract AI secrets
According to Proofpoint, a hacking group dubbed TA419 and described as China-aligned impersonated an Anthropic employee and a former White House official to target US AI policy experts. After exchanging benign-sounding emails, the group sent malware-laced documents to gain access to their cloud accounts.
