Musk Tried to Buy Chip Plants From Intel, TSMC and Micron Before Terafab
According to Korean media, Elon Musk tried to buy manufacturing facilities from Intel, TSMC and Micron before starting his Terafab project but was turned down. Musk then pivoted to partnerships with suppliers. Terafab is expected to reach 100,000 wafers per month before 2030, with a long-term goal of one million wafers a month.
