Recursive launches Flint, an open coding model that runs locally
Recursive has released Flint, a 40-billion-parameter coding model designed to run on local hardware. Its mixture-of-experts architecture activates only 2.5 billion parameters per token, and the company says the model was built from scratch in under four months by a small team of humans and AI agents. The weights are available on Hugging Face under the Apache 2.0 license.
