EA is shutting down BioWare: New Mass Effect cancelled, around 400 laid off
EA has confirmed it is closing BioWare, the studio behind Mass Effect and Dragon Age. The company is also halting development on the in-progress new Mass Effect game and laying off around 400 staffers. The changes follow EA going private in a $55 billion deal.
