A new authority
Turkey's Ministry of Trade has gained the power to set installment counts and conditions. With this authority, the ministry can change the number of installments offered on tech products.

The scope includes tech products such as phones, tablets, televisions and home appliances. In other words, the rules on how many installments can be used for these products may be redrawn by the ministry.

Installment limits directly shape how many months a consumer needs to pay off a product. The ministry has not yet said how or when it will use this authority.
