Samsung unveils Galaxy Tab S12 series: Ultra and Plus models arrive with Galaxy AI

New flagship tablets

Samsung introduced the Galaxy Tab S12 series, consisting of the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S12+. The company positions the lineup as its most capable Galaxy Tab experience to date. Both models ship with an S Pen in the box.

Performance and battery

The series features a new 3nm processor. According to Samsung, the chip delivers up to 61% faster NPU processing, 19% faster CPU performance and 17% improved GPU power compared to the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. A newly designed 3D Vapor Chamber handles heat during demanding tasks.

On the battery side, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra lasts up to 23 hours on a single charge, while the Galaxy Tab S12+ lasts up to 21 hours. With a 45W adapter, the battery goes from 0% to 100% in about 95 minutes.

Design and display

At 5.1mm thin, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is Samsung's thinnest Galaxy Tab and offers a 14.6-inch display. The Galaxy Tab S12+ comes with a 12.6-inch screen and slimmer bezels than its predecessor. The series carries an IP68 water and dust resistance rating.

AI and productivity

Galaxy AI support assists users with note-taking, editing and streamlining complex workflows. Samsung says the devices offer easy access to professional-grade apps and accessories.
