Muse comes to DIY hardware

Meta has released open-source code that lets you use its new AI agent, Muse, in your own hardware projects. This means the company's AI agent can run not only on Meta's own products but also on devices you build yourself.

What you can build

Meta's suggested projects include loading Muse on a color E Ink display to show reminders, adding it to an HDMI stick to display Muse on a big screen, or putting Muse on a small touchscreen device to make something like a DIY Muse Charm.

What developers get

The company says you can program an off-the-shelf ESP32 board or set up a Raspberry Pi with its SDKs, then connect Muse to displays, buttons, sensors, actuators, and whatever else you have on your workbench. "Muse gadgets are open source devices you build yourself," Meta says, giving hardware enthusiasts a chance to experiment with parts they already own.
