What is RTX Spark?
NVIDIA introduced RTX Spark, which it describes as a new beginning for the PC. The superchip aims to combine a gaming PC, a creative studio and a personal AI supercomputer in a single piece of hardware.
Key technical figures
- Up to 128GB of unified memory
- 1 petaflop of AI compute
- The full NVIDIA RTX software stack
Unified memory means the CPU and GPU share the same memory pool, which makes it easier to run large AI models locally. A petaflop refers to quadrillions of operations per second.
Ecosystem ready
NVIDIA said the global PC app ecosystem is ready for RTX Spark. The announcement also covers software updates for laptops.
