Agentic computing goes into production in France
Companies in France are deploying agentic computing across space, financial services, the public sector and scientific research on NVIDIA technology. According to the company, the country has moved "from ambition to application."
Infrastructure and space
Bull is extending its European AI server production to NVIDIA Vera Rubin Ultra NVL72 systems, planned for 2028, with trays produced in Europe and rack integration at its Angers factory. Altair-1, the first satellite in a $1 billion, 50-satellite constellation, launched this month and reached orbit. Integrated by Loft Orbital, the satellite flies NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin edge modules running Mistral's models for real-time Earth observation and autonomous operations in orbit.
Open models and the public sector
NVIDIA Nemotron open models are in production across French organizations that require sovereign, trustworthy data. LINAGORA and Docaposte secured the CANUT framework agreement, making Twake.ai, built on Nemotron, the sole referenced sovereign digital workplace for more than 2,500 French public organizations. SBS is launching a sovereign platform that lets banks deploy governed generative and agentic services in their own environments. Last week, Mistral introduced the Mistral Large 4 open model in private preview.
Agents across industries
L'Oréal is moving cosmetic formulation discovery to in-silico screening with the open source NVIDIA ALCHEMI Toolkit on its own GPU cluster, targeting up to 100x faster discovery. Mirakl has onboarded more than 70 million products with models running on NVIDIA GPUs, cutting seller catalog onboarding to under two hours. In Côte-d'Or, ThinkDeep and Akila built a digital-twin agent with NVIDIA Cosmos, Nemotron and Omniverse, managing nearly 5,800 kilometers of roads and buildings. Bouygues Telecom and Prisme.ai launched AI Studio V2, letting employees build their own agents.
