BTK Chairman Mehmet Koçyiğit announced that Turkey's average mobile download speed has reached 110.62 Mbps. The figure is a direct indicator of the everyday experience of mobile broadband users.

According to Koçyiğit, the number of 5G subscribers has passed 45 million. In other words, 5G is no longer limited to a niche group but has become a connection type used by a broad audience.
What it means
Average download speed alone does not capture the full capacity of a country's mobile networks or the user experience, but it offers a practical signal of where infrastructure investment is heading. The BTK chairman framed the figures as evidence that internet infrastructure is growing.
