Apple has introduced its new Apple TV 4K. The device runs on an A19 processor and, according to Apple, delivers up to 50% faster CPU performance and up to twice the graphics performance of the previous generation. The standout feature is Siri backed by Apple Intelligence. Users can ask Siri about content they want to watch and get movie or show recommendations, or find out where a title was filmed and whether it suits a certain age group.

Three microphones on the device allow voice commands without picking up the remote. Advanced sound detection means commands can be heard even when the TV is loud.

Smart home and audio experience

Apple TV 4K can also manage smart home devices from the TV. With a compatible smart doorbell, the visitor's image appears on screen, users can talk to them and control supported smart locks. Built-in Wi-Fi and Thread connectivity let it communicate with compatible devices.

On the audio side, the device supports a surround system with four HomePod mini 2 speakers, and HomePod (2nd generation) can join under certain conditions. The system detects speaker positions in the room and automatically adjusts volume and timing. A new AV1 decoder enables high-quality video streaming with less bandwidth.

Price and release date

The Siri Remote design is unchanged, but it gains features to help find it via the Find My app or by making it play a sound. Apple TV 4K is available for pre-order at 22,499 Turkish lira and goes on sale in stores on November 13.
