Countdown to the iPhone Duo
Apple will release its first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo, on Friday, October 23. Ahead of launch, the company is stepping up its app-side preparations.
App approvals begin
Apple has started approving apps developed for the iPhone Duo. The goal is to make sure users don't hit compatibility problems when they get the new device.
Why it matters
Foldable screens require apps to adapt to different screen sizes and folding states. By starting the approval process early, Apple aims for a smooth app experience on launch day.
